Carrying Capacity of Agricultural Land in Disaster-Prone Areas of Land Movement at Karangsambung-Karangbolong Geopark

Abstract A disaster-prone area is an that has a high level of vulnerability to potential threats life, welfare, and residents’ assets when disaster occurs. Land damage due landslides the reduce region’s ability supply human resources, especially in agricultural sector. This condition impact on decreasing carrying capacity land. study aimed analyze distribution pattern land Karangsambung-Karangbolong Geopark. Data sources used were secondary primary data. The data obtained from Central Bureau Statistics Kebumen Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency Regency. observation in-depth interviews. analysis was carried out quantitative descriptive manner. using Odum-Howard-Isaard productivity approach with classification based Decent Living Needs (DLN). results showed available (LCC), rice fields, lower than farmers’ needs thus LCC value deficit. In geopark areas had low indicated by levels production could not be able carry food self-sufficiency. can increased through policies prevent conservation intensify processing.
